KaKaLot: Central VN : Flooding and Typhoon Magi

As the central provinces from Quang Binh to Nghe An , Ha Tinh have yet to recover from the recent major flooding, new disaster has struck at stronger force. This time floods hit too fast, people can not react, they just stay home , climb on the rooftop or even on the trees and wait relief committee. When i saw on news, they said the new flood is the worst the provinces had experienced in the last 100 years. It's really bad, people here are poor already and now get worse.

The whole district of Huong Khe, Ha Tinh ( the hometown of my friend Nam) has been covered with water. The lives of thousands of people are at risk. I'm sure that includes Nam's relatives one . When i'm here and write about this. suddenly recall me a lot about the last year my classmates had been here. This is the poor area when we visit Nam's cousin houses and wanna go on beach ,mean of transport here not much like Hanoi, so it's really hard to have some motorbikes, we have to go around the village to borrow. Some local people thought we are the foreigners and say " hello and wave" we just feel interesting. I still remember the story Nam's cousin tell us about flooding and storm season. It's scare her a lot, especially when most of her children are not in home because they are studying in Hanoi or working there, just only her in house. When it's heavy rain or storm sweep over here, she's alone inside to prevent dangerous things could make injury and move necessary stuffs in higher position and wait water down. Of course, it's no more rice on fields if floods remain in long days.

And my question for her why people here not much build nice and solid houses?

Part of reason from storms and flood happen every rainy season.

But now, tomorrow or the day after, when typhoon Magi ( sieu bao) come closer and hit to Vietnam what will happen?

Đặc trưng riêng thảm họa xuất hiện mọi lúc, mọi nơi không kể gì VN, có khi đó là sóng thần, có khi là núi lửa hay động đất, bão... Nhưng tất cả rồi cũng sẽ qua đó dường như là nhưng quy luật muôn đời của tự nhiên rồi, có khi nào người vùng lũ họ sẽ nghĩ rằng đây cũng là một thách thức mới nằm trong quy luật hàng năm họ sẽ trải qua? Tôi tin họ sẽ vượt qua và lại đem cuộc sống trở lại yên bình như tính vỗn có của nó.!!!

Look at the pics above, a cow died because it can not run away from flood. it's sad at the moment but will have others born and grow as the natural law, like the people live in flood area, it can make them get worse this time but i believe after that they will overcome and bring the peaceful life back.
